Role Overview

We are recruiting an experienced JCB Hydradig Driver to operate our brand new JCB Hydradig as part of our trackway installation teams working across OHL, utilities and infrastructure projects throughout the UK.

This role forms a key part of our modern, machine-led trackway installation process, supporting safe, efficient access solutions on live utility sites. The position would also suit an experienced trackway installer looking to transition into plant-based installation using modern equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Operate a JCB Hydradig to support trackway installation and recovery

Assist with lifting, placing and aligning trackway panels using plant

Work closely with Trackway / Lead Installers and crew operatives

Support loading, unloading and securing of trackway materials

Carry out daily machine checks and basic maintenance

Follow RAMS, lift plans and strict health & safety procedures

Maintain safe working areas and high housekeeping standards

Liaise with site supervisors and other plant operators

Travel UK-wide with regular working away

Work early starts, overtime and weekends where required

Essential Requirements

Proven experience operating JCB Hydradig

Experience supporting trackway installation using plant

HGV Class 1 preferred
(Class 2 considered with training and progression to Class 1)

Strong understanding of RAMS and safe systems of work

Utilities, OHL or infrastructure site experience

Reliable, professional and team-focused attitude

Willingness to travel and work away from home

Desirable

CPCS / NPORS Hydradig ticket

CSCS card

HIAB / lifting operations experience

Background in trackway, groundworks or civils
